In 2009, the new German legal form of "Unternehmergesellschaft" (UG) outran the "Ltd." by far in Germany!

According to a recent empirical survey published in the German law journal "GmbHRundschau" (Kornblum, GmbHR 2010, R 53 ff.) the legal form of "Unternehmergesellschaft" (UG), which is a small limited liability company (GmbH) with a substantially reduced nominal capital, has outrun the English Ltd. in Germany by far.
