As of January 1, 2010, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor
Vehicles (DMV) instituted new documentation requirements for residents
renewing, reinstating or obtaining a new driver license. When you are eligible
to reinstate your driver license you will be required to bring original
documents that prove your identity, social security number and residential address. The purpose of this post is to encourage
you to begin obtaining the proper documentation now as some of the required
documents may take time to obtain.
The DMV has set up a website
that is designed to help you determine what documents will be required when it
comes time to be reissued your driver license.
Please visit www.gogatherget.com
to find out what you will be required to show in order to receive your driver
license upon being granted a hardship license or when you are eligible for full
reinstatement.
If you have any questions
regarding this matter, please contact my office to set an appointment.
