    Portland District Office
    • If I-693 is required (medical examination) you MUST include it at the time of filing I-485
    • I-765 (first time and renewals) are mailed to the Vermont Service Center; unless filed w/ I-485 at this office; then it will be processed at this office concurrently w/ I-485
    • Advance parole applications need to be mailed to the Portland District Office. This office needs at least 10-14 days ahead of intended travel
    • For emergency travel call the National Customer Service Center 1 800 375 5283

    St. Albans Sub Office
    • I-765 can be filed with this office if the current status is one of the following: pending I485, TPS, Fiancee, Public Interest Parole, or Parole (when denied refugee visa)
    • For information on initial filing and extensions of I-765s call the National Customer Service Center (1 800 375 5283)
    • Advance parole (I-131) must be submitted by mail at least one week prior to intended travel
    • Emergency travel authorization call National Customer Service Center (1 800 375 5283)

    Additional Information - Notes

    • Change of address for naturalization (N 400) may be completed over the phone (1-800-375-5283), everyone else must use the form and send it to the office where their application is pending.
    • Fingerprints notices are sent after you have applied. You will be notified as to which Application Support Center to go to and when.
    • Sub Offices generally are used for appointment purposes only, usually not to file applications, but check the specific application procedures.
