LexisNexis® Martindale-Hubbell® Launches Attorney Match(SM), New Online Client Development Service for Attorneys

New Providence, NJ - Press Release - February 23, 2005 - LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, the leading client development company for the legal profession, today announced the introduction of Attorney Match, a new online resource that connects lawyers and law firms with potential clients through its acclaimed lawyers.com Web site.

Lawyers.com, which is powered by a Martindale-Hubbell database of 440,000 lawyers and law firms, is the leading destination on the Internet for individuals and small business professionals seeking an attorney.

Attorney Match is an automated client development service that uses the efficiency of email to connect attorneys with potential clients in need of legal assistance. Attorneys who subscribe to the service receive email messages when specific matters arise that match their own legal expertise and the geographic area in which they practice.

The new service works in a simple four-step process:

    Media Contacts:
    Daryn Teague
    for Teague Communications
    (661) 297-5292
    dteague@teaguecommunications.com
  • Potential client enters the zip code in which he/she would like to find an attorney and the area of practice to which their legal need is related;
  • Individual fills out a brief form that contains information about their legal situation and submits it on lawyers.com;
  • The system then returns the 10 closest participating attorneys who match the potential client's request and the individual selects which attorneys he/she would like to send their inquiry; and
  • The participating attorneys receive an email with the individual's inquiry details; they can elect whether or not they wish to respond and, if they choose to do so, can contact the prospective client by email or telephone.
"Attorney Match offers a helpful environment in which consumers and small business professionals can pinpoint lawyers who can address their specific legal needs," said Paul Gazzolo, chief operating officer of New Providence, N.J.-based LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell. "This new service provides subscribing attorneys with greater access to potential clients in an extremely cost-effective way by delivering well-qualified leads directly to the attorney's email in-box. Moreover, it is an efficient platform for everyone involved because potential clients can provide their preferred method of contact, enabling faster and more productive communication."

According to Gazzolo, attorneys can subscribe to Attorney Match for $450 per year. This pricing includes three areas of practice in which attorneys wish to generate leads from prospective clients. For more information, please go to www.lawyers.com/pdc.
